It was good to be back in Newark for the UD Delabration. The night got off to a rough start with a dorm room assignment fiasco that led us to miss the Enginerd Alumni Cocktail Hour, but we arrived just in time for the Mug Night. It definitely was an enjoyable time. I realized that I knew one of the guitarists from Love Seed Mama Jump, Mike Curry. He's a friend of a friend of a friend, and I haven't seen him in a several years, but I definitely still had to say hi while they were there. I'm glad that he remembered me.
Speaking of the band, the lead singer was wearing a Kestutis Marciulionis basketball jersey. Kestutis was a UD basketball player from 1996-2000 and a fan favorite during his career. The fans (myself included) would yell "Marshmellow!!!" after one of his trademark 3 pointers. It turns out he won a bronze medal in the Sydney 2000 Olympics and is still playing ball in Hungary. Good for him!
The Blue Hen 5K was a little rough this morning. After a late night out with the Mug Night on the Green and Deer Park afterward, we were all a little sluggish this morning. Cendy and I ran most of the course together, but I lost her when she had to tie her shoe for the 2nd time. I'll post our times when they are available. It was a good time running with my fellow alumni.
Kudos on the prompt post, Capn'. Impressive getting up for the 5K this morning, as my head was a little fuzzy after the festivites...
